Cultural competence means understanding and respecting different cultures, beliefs, and traditions. It helps people work together better and create a friendly environment. For example, if a new student from another country joins your class, being culturally competent means you’d take time to learn about their background and include them in activities. You might ask them questions about their favorite foods or festivals and share your own. This way, everyone feels valued and understands each other better. By practicing cultural competence, we can build friendships and learn from one another’s experiences.
