Mean, median, and mode are ways to find averages in a set of numbers. The mean is found by adding all the numbers together and then dividing by how many numbers there are. For example, if you have the numbers 4, 8, and 10, you add them to get 22, then divide by 3 to find the mean, which is 7. The median is the middle number when the numbers are in order. In the same set of numbers (4, 8, and 10), the median is 8. The mode is the number that appears most often. If your numbers were 4, 4, 8, and 10, the mode would be 4 because it shows up twice.
