Alternative energy comes from sources that do not run out and are better for the environment than fossil fuels. These sources include wind, solar, and hydroelectric power. For example, solar energy uses sunlight to create electricity. Solar panels are placed on rooftops or in fields, and they capture sunlight and convert it into energy that can power homes and schools. Wind energy works similarly by using large wind turbines that turn when the wind blows, generating electricity. By using alternative energy, we can help reduce pollution and make our planet a cleaner place to live.
