I learned to appreciate how music brings people together. The band had a positive influence on the school. We performed at events. It became a tradition to have a winter concert. Our community was the band. We had achieved a beautiful sound. I had discovered that I could be part of something bigger. I would never forget the applause. The band had taught me about teamwork. I was grateful to be a member.
