Decimal division involves dividing numbers that have decimal points. To divide a decimal, first make the divisor (the number you are dividing by) a whole number by moving the decimal point to the right. You must then move the decimal point in the dividend (the number being divided) the same number of places. For example, if you want to divide 6.4 by 0.8, you can move the decimal in 0.8 one place to the right, changing it to 8. Do the same with 6.4, turning it into 64. Now, you divide 64 by 8, which equals 8. Finally, the answer to 6.4 divided by 0.8 is 8. Remember to always keep track of how many places you move the decimal to maintain accuracy in your calculations!
