Scientific investigation is the process of asking questions and finding answers through careful observation and experimentation. It starts with a question, like 'What happens to plants if they get more sunlight?' Next, scientists make a hypothesis, which is an educated guess about what they think will happen. For example, one might guess that plants will grow taller with more sunlight. Then, scientists design an experiment to test their hypothesis by planting two groups of the same type of plantโ€”one group in sunlight and the other in the shade. They observe and record the growth of each plant over time. After analyzing the results, they can conclude whether their hypothesis was right or wrong. This method helps us understand the world around us by providing evidence-based answers to our questions.
