Government systems are the ways in which a country is organized and run. There are different types of government systems, such as democracies, monarchies, and dictatorships. In a democracy, citizens have the power to vote for their leaders and influence laws. For example, in the United States, people elect their president and members of Congress to represent them. In contrast, a monarchy is led by a king or queen, who usually inherits their position. Some monarchies, like the United Kingdom, have a parliament that helps make decisions, while others, like Saudi Arabia, have more absolute power. Dictatorships are governed by a single leader who has almost complete control over the country, often without the consent of the people. Understanding these systems helps us see how different countries make decisions and manage their societies.
