📖 1 of 2

Information literacy means knowing how to find, evaluate, and use information effectively. It helps you become a thoughtful consumer of information, especially in today’s digital world. For example, when you’re doing research for a school project, you might use websites, books, and articles. Information literacy teaches you to check if the sources are reliable. You can ask questions like: Who wrote it? Is the author an expert? Is the information up-to-date?

📖 2 of 2

By critically examining what you find, you can decide what is trustworthy. This skill is useful beyond school, too, as it helps you make informed decisions in daily life, like understanding news articles or advertisements. In essence, information literacy empowers you to navigate the vast amount of information around you and use it wisely.
