Probability tells us how likely something is to happen. It is expressed as a number between 0 and 1, where 0 means it will not happen and 1 means it will definitely happen. For example, if you flip a fair coin, there are two possible outcomes: heads or tails. The probability of getting heads is 1 out of 2, or 0.5. This means there is an equal chance of landing on heads or tails. To find probability, you can use the formula: Probability = (Number of favorable outcomes) / (Total number of outcomes). If you roll a six-sided die, the chance of rolling a 3 is 1 out of 6, because there is one โ€˜3โ€™ and six possible numbers. Understanding probability helps us make better decisions in uncertain situations, like predicting the weather or choosing games to play.
