📖 1 of 2

Relationship skills are the abilities we use to connect with others in a positive way. They include communication, empathy, and conflict resolution. For example, if a friend is upset, using empathy means understanding their feelings and showing support. Good communication helps express thoughts clearly, such as saying, 'I feel sad when you ignore me. ' When conflicts arise, like disagreements over a game, conflict resolution skills can help find a solution that works for both friends, like taking turns.

Practicing these skills can lead to stronger friendships and a healthier social life. By being aware of how we interact with others, we can build trust and respect, which are essential in any relationship.
