Triangles are three-sided polygons defined by their three angles. The sum of the angles in any triangle always equals 180 degrees. There are different types of triangles based on their angles: acute triangles have all angles less than 90 degrees, right triangles have one angle equal to 90 degrees, and obtuse triangles have one angle greater than 90 degrees. For example, in a right triangle, if one angle is 90 degrees and another is 45 degrees, the third angle must be 45 degrees as well, since 90 + 45 + 45 equals 180. This relationship helps us solve problems involving triangles, whether we are finding missing angles or determining the type of triangle we have. Understanding triangles and their angles is essential in geometry and has applications in real life, such as in architecture and engineering.
