Action Words

Action words tell what someone is doing. Run, jump, hop, swim, and clap are all action words. Listen: The frog hops.

The fish swims. The baby claps. Each sentence tells what someone does.

Play a game with your grown-up: they say an action word, and you do it! Then you say one, and they do it.
