Echo Me: Say It Back

An echo is when a sound comes back to you.

In echo reading, a grown-up says a line and you say it right back, just like an echo. Let's try.

The grown-up says: 'The little duck says quack. ' Now you say: 'The little duck says quack.

' You used the same words and the same happy voice. Echoing helps your mouth learn how reading should sound.

• 1An echo says the same thing back
• 2Listen first, then say it
• 3Copy the words and the voice
