Which Way the Wind Blows

Lab Brief #3

🎯 Your mission

Learn the rule. Then catch nature using it.

⚡ The twist

Weather isn't random — it's just complicated.

What you'll learn

A weather vane shows which direction the wind is blowing. A windsock does too!

Key words

weather
What the air and sky are like outside each day.
wind
Moving air that you can feel outdoors.

Make a hypothesis first

Before you observe: what shape will it leave?

Say your guess out loud — then find out if you were right.

Step 1 of 4 · Read

Look at the new words. Can you say each one?

Step 2 of 4 · Do

Keep a weather journal for 5 days. Each day draw the sky and write the temperature.

Step 3 of 4 · Observe

Compare what happened to what you predicted.

Step 4 of 4 · Record

Tell the class one thing you learned today.
