🧪Lab Brief #9

Data and Evidence.

🎯 Your mission

Learn the rule. Then catch nature using it.

⚡ The twist

Nature loves to surprise the careful watcher.

🤯

Mind = Blown

🔬 The more you look, the more nature shows you.

🔮

Make a hypothesis first

Before you start: write down what you think will happen, and why.

What You'll Learn

Publishing puts a method and its data where others can attack them. That is uncomfortable and entirely the point: an idea that survives serious attempts to break it is worth more than one nobody has tested.

Key Words

Tap a word to see its definition.

Steps

Step 1Read

Read the explanation above and note the two key terms before you start.

Step 2Do

Take three statements and decide which are falsifiable. Rewrite the unfalsifiable ones so that a specific measurement could show them false.

Step 3Observe

Record what actually happened, including anything that did not match what you expected.

Step 4Record

Write a conclusion that answers the question this lesson opened with, and state your uncertainty.
