Local History: How My Town Began

Every town has a beginning, and learning about how your town started can be very exciting! Many towns were founded by people who wanted to create a community for their families.

They often chose places near rivers or mountains because these locations provided resources like water and materials for building. Over time, the town grew with more homes, schools, and businesses, becoming the place we live in today.
