The Civil Rights Movement

The Civil Rights Movement was a time in American history when people fought for equal rights for all, especially for African Americans. This movement took place mainly in the 1950s and 1960s. Many brave individuals, like Martin Luther King Jr.

and Rosa Parks, worked together to change unfair laws that treated people differently based on their skin color. Their efforts led to important changes, like the Civil Rights Act, which helped make discrimination illegal.
