Your Role in a Democracy

In a democracy, the role of citizens extends beyond merely casting votes; it encompasses active participation in the political process and civic life. Citizens can engage in discussions, advocate for issues of concern, and hold their elected officials accountable.

Understanding the rights and responsibilities afforded to them allows individuals to contribute effectively to their communities. Moreover, civic engagement fosters a sense of belonging and enhances the democratic process, as informed citizens are better equipped to make decisions that reflect the collective will.
