The labs cover the reasoning skills that sit underneath maths rather than inside it: noticing what does not belong, holding a sequence in mind, spotting what changed, and rotating a shape mentally. Children who are strong here find arithmetic markedly easier.
How to play

- Logic, Number, Observation, Memory, Language, Spatial and Science. Each has short rounds and its own stamp.
- How does rank work?
- Cadet, Junior Agent, Field Agent, Special Agent, Elite Agent and Master Investigator. Rank is kept on the device and is shared with the other detective games.
- Is there reading involved?
- Some. The Language lab is text-based, but the Logic, Observation, Memory and Spatial labs can be played by a pre-reader.
