How to find half of 32
- 1Half means splitting 32 into 2 equal groups, so work out 32 ÷ 2.
- 2Split 32 into its tens and its ones: 30 and 2.
- 3Halve each part on its own — half of 30 is 15, and half of 2 is 1.
- 4Add the two halves back together: 15 + 1 = 16.
Check it: put the two halves back together and you get 16 + 16 = 32.
