How to find half of 28
- 1Half means splitting 28 into 2 equal groups, so work out 28 ÷ 2.
- 2Split 28 into its tens and its ones: 20 and 8.
- 3Halve each part on its own — half of 20 is 10, and half of 8 is 4.
- 4Add the two halves back together: 10 + 4 = 14.
Check it: put the two halves back together and you get 14 + 14 = 28.
