How to find half of 24
- 1Half means splitting 24 into 2 equal groups, so work out 24 ÷ 2.
- 2Split 24 into its tens and its ones: 20 and 4.
- 3Halve each part on its own — half of 20 is 10, and half of 4 is 2.
- 4Add the two halves back together: 10 + 2 = 12.
Check it: put the two halves back together and you get 12 + 12 = 24.
