How to find half of 22
- 1Half means splitting 22 into 2 equal groups, so work out 22 ÷ 2.
- 2Split 22 into its tens and its ones: 20 and 2.
- 3Halve each part on its own — half of 20 is 10, and half of 2 is 1.
- 4Add the two halves back together: 10 + 1 = 11.
Check it: put the two halves back together and you get 11 + 11 = 22.
