Hooked on a Series

Learn what a book series is and why readers love them.

A series is a group of books with the same characters. Each book tells a new adventure, but you already know who everyone is. That makes it easier and more fun to read the next one.

Imagine you loved a book about two friends, a turtle and a rabbit, who start a detective club. In book two, they solve a new case at the beach. In book three, they find a lost kite.

You can tell books are in the same series because they often have a number on the spine and look alike on the cover.
