The Clean-Up

Our room was very messy. Toys were on the floor. Books were everywhere. Clothes were on the chair. Mom said we had to clean up before dinner. We did not want to at first. But we started. We put the toys in the toy box. We put the blocks in the block bucket. We made the bed. We pulled the covers smooth. We put the books on the shelf. We put the clothes in the drawer. We swept the floor. The room looked nice. Mom came to look. She smiled. She said we did a great job. We felt good too. A clean room is nicer to play in. We will try to keep it tidy.
