Marcus had borrowed a book from the school library. It was about dinosaurs. He read it every night. Then one morning the book was gone. He looked in his backpack. He looked under his bed. He looked in the living room. He could not find it anywhere. Marcus felt worried. He had to return the book in two days. His little sister whispered that she had seen something under the couch. Marcus looked. There it was! The book had fallen behind a cushion. He was so relieved. He finished the last chapter that night. The next day he returned the book on time. The librarian said thank you. Marcus decided he would always keep his library books in the same place. That way he would never lose one again. He was curious about the next book he would borrow. Maybe one about space.
