It rained for three days in a row. Jada could not go outside. She was a little bored. Then she had an idea. She would build something with the cardboard boxes in the garage. She asked her dad for tape and scissors. She brought the boxes to her room. She worked all morning. She made a enormous castle with towers and a drawbridge. She used markers to add windows and doors. She put a blanket inside so she could sit in it. When her little brother saw it he wanted to help. She let him add a flag on top. They played in the castle all afternoon. Perhaps the rain was not so bad after all. They had discovered a fun way to spend a rainy day. When the sun came out the next day they went outside. But they kept the castle in Jada's room. It was too special to take apart.
