Noah went camping with his family for the first time. They drove to a state park. They set up a tent. Noah helped with the stakes. At night they built a fire. They roasted marshmallows. Noah had never seen so many stars. The sky was enormous. Someone pointed out the Big Dipper. Noah tried to find it. Suddenly an owl hooted. Noah jumped. Everyone laughed. In the morning they went on a hike. The trail was long. Noah was curious about every plant and bug. His dad said they were on a journey through the forest. They saw a deer. It stood very still. Then it ran away. Noah decided he loved camping. He wanted to go again. Perhaps next time they could stay two nights. He had discovered that nature was full of surprises. He could not wait for the next adventure.
