Jake found an old map in his grandfather's attic. It was drawn by hand. It showed the backyard and the woods behind it. There was an X in one spot. Jake was curious. He asked his grandfather about it. His grandfather said he had made the map when he was a boy. He had buried a small box under the X. Jake could not believe it. He decided to find the box. He took the map and went outside. He followed the path on the map. Some things had changed. Trees had grown. But he found the spot. He dug carefully. Suddenly his shovel hit something. It was a metal box. Inside were old coins and a note. The note said Hello from the past. Jake was so excited. He had discovered a piece of family history. Perhaps he would bury something for the future too. He showed his grandfather. They both laughed. It was quite an adventure.
