Perimeter is the distance around the outside of a polygon. To find the perimeter, you add up the lengths of all the sides. For example, imagine a triangle with sides measuring 3 cm, 4 cm, and 5 cm. To find the perimeter, you would add these numbers together: 3 + 4 + 5 = 12 cm. So, the perimeter of this triangle is 12 cm. You can use the same method for any polygon, whether it has four sides like a square or more, like a pentagon. Just remember to measure each side and then add them up!
