Our class held a fundraiser for a charity. We sold baked goods. I was determined to help. The challenge was to organize everything. I had a responsibility to do my part. I learned to appreciate how much effort fundraising takes. The fundraiser had a positive influence on our class. We worked together. It became a tradition to give back each year. Our community was the class and the buyers. We had achieved our goal. I had discovered that we could make a difference. I would never forget the total we raised. The fundraiser had taught us about generosity. I was grateful to be part of it.
