I was a junior camp counselor for a week. I helped with young kids. I was determined to be a good role model. The challenge was to keep everyone safe and happy. I had a responsibility to the camp. I learned to appreciate how much counselors do. The week had a positive influence on me. I had grown. It was a tradition for older kids to help. Our community was the camp. We had achieved a fun week. I had discovered that I could lead. I would never forget the kids I had met. The camp had taught me about responsibility. I was grateful for the opportunity.
