Life as a soldier during the Civil War varied greatly between the North and South. Northern soldiers, often called 'Yankees,' were typically well-supplied and had access to better resources, including food and medical care. In contrast, Southern soldiers, known as 'Rebels,' faced harsh conditions due to shortages of supplies and food. Despite these differences, both groups shared similar experiences of bravery, camaraderie, and the challenges of war, which included harsh weather and the realities of battle.
