How to find half of 14
- 1Half means splitting 14 into 2 equal groups, so work out 14 ÷ 2.
- 2Split 14 into its tens and its ones: 10 and 4.
- 3Halve each part on its own — half of 10 is 5, and half of 4 is 2.
- 4Add the two halves back together: 5 + 2 = 7.
Check it: put the two halves back together and you get 7 + 7 = 14.
